2011-2012 News from the Jefferson Robotics Program. This has been an amazing year of growth for the Jefferson robotics program. Jefferson Robotics is now the 2nd largest FTC robotics program in the Northern California region. Jefferson had 32 students actively and significantly participate in robotics this year. Many more students were welcomed in get a glimpse of the program and participate on a short term basis.
Moving Forward. The Program will be looking forward to continuing to grow the program next year. Any Jefferson student who is interested in science and engineering, please check out the program in the fall. Also, Jefferson Robotics can use additional adults for short term involvement and/or longer term support. The team will be working on reaching out to the professional engineering community for mentors over the next year.
Acknowledgements. Thank you to all the adults who assisted the program this year. Thank you to CEI for their funding and for Mr. Irish who facilitated us opening up our campus this year for a tournament that allowed us to raise significant money. ~ Jefferson High School Robotics Program 2011-2012

| Maker Faire 2012. The Jefferson Robotics team had a wonderful weekend at the Maker Faire. Most of the team members used this tournament to step up to new responsibilities, while others stepped up as new team leaders. In total we had 12 students participate in the faire. The students continued to learn as they had time to modify, repair and add functionality to their robots between matches. Two of the robots (Teams 4808 and 3791) made it to the semifinals but they were not able to advance to the finals. |
