The Jefferson High School Robotics team sponsored by Children’s Empowerment, Inc. won in the Atherthon Qualifier Tournament, sponsored by First Tech Challenge (FTC).

In addition, the team won the Rockwell Collins Innovate award for innovative design strategy. The team implemented an idea that allowed them to consistently balance the robot during the autonomous period of the games. The extra points achieved by this design, resulted in consistently higher scores.

For the second tournament in a row, the team brought home the Northern California Regional First Tech Challenge Championship. The team has now become eligible for a lottery based invitation to the World Championships which will be held in St. Louis in April.
