CEI initiated and sponsors an Academic Awards Dinner for freshmen, sophomore and juniors at Jefferson High in May. Besides honoring students with top grades in each department, the dinner highlights students, tutors and student artists. Seniors are already recognized for their achievements at the school.

CEI pays for each advanced placement and honors student to visit at least one college campus in the University of California system.

CEI also picks up the costs for advanced placement students to take their SAT and AP exams, if they cannot afford it.

CEI assist students with partial scholarships to attend various college programs in the summer, including Stanford University, UC Berkeley and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. (Please view Education Travel)

Children's Empowerment, Inc. distributed $85,000 in the form of CEI College Scholarships to graduating high school seniors at Jefferson High School who have been accepted into post-secondary education programs. Awards were presented to students at Jefferson's Senior Awards Night held on May 12, 2011.
