Mission Statement

Children’s Empowerment, Inc. (CEI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that provides educational in-school and after-school academic programs to minority high school grade students in Daly City, California.

Founded in 1999, we have been working in Daly City since 2000 in partnership with the Jefferson Union High School District (JUHSD).

CEI focuses on all students, honor to high-risk, in underperforming Daly City public schools who want to achieve but face formidable economic, cultural, and linguistic barriers to their educational success.

Through CEI’s learning centers, scholarships, health and fitness curriculum support, and mentorships, we help transform many of these challenged youth into gifted, ambitious, college-ready members of the community.

United States Department of Agriculture

Child and Adult Care Food Program

USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program plays a vital role in improving the quality of day care and making it more affordable for many low-income families. Each day, 3.2 million children receive nutritious meals and snacks through CACFP.

Summer Food Service Program

The Summer Food Service Program is a federally funded program that works in collaboration with agencies that provide nutritious meals to children 18 years of age and younger. The program operates during periods when school is not in session for 15 continuous school days.
